About Open Source
Open source is a conversation as much as a codebase. The founders listed here build in public, answer questions in threads, post what shipped this week and say what broke. Browse the category and you meet the maintainers first, then the project.
This page gathers products and businesses whose source is open for others to read, run and change. Some are small utilities made by one person. Others are companies built around a project and a growing circle of contributors. Each profile carries the founder's updates, milestones and followers, so you can judge how alive a project is before you try it.
Use the filters to narrow by subcategory, and sort by community votes when you want to see what people are backing. Votes can never be bought. Otherwise listings appear newest first, so fresh projects get seen.

Open Source: questions answered
- What belongs in the Open Source category?
- Products and businesses where the source code is open for others to use or adapt. That covers finished apps, libraries for developers, tools you host yourself and AI models or frameworks. If the code is closed, a different category will suit it better.
- How do I choose between the subcategories?
- Ask who runs it and who uses it. Open source apps are ready-made products for end users. Developer libraries are building blocks inside other code. Self-hosted tools run on your own servers. Open source AI covers models and tooling for machine learning.
- How do I get my open source project listed here?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. You choose one main category, included free. A paid launch costs $5; a free listing waits about 6-8 weeks.
- Can my project appear in more than one category?
- Yes. Every listing has one main category, included free. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5. A self-hosted AI tool, for example, could sit in two places.
- How are listings ordered, and what should I check when comparing projects?
- Listings show newest first by default, and visitors can sort by community votes. When comparing, read the founder's updates for recent activity, check milestones, and look at how the founder responds in threads. Also confirm how easy it is to run before committing.
