The Zinn Digital® team rebuilt Page Builder Sandwich from the ground up for version 6. Pages are now saved as ordinary WordPress blocks, earlier pages convert to blocks in the background after updating, and the changelog is published release by release. Follow it for new blocks, design features and fixes as they ship.

Page Builder Sandwich is a WordPress page builder that stores your work as ordinary WordPress blocks.
Shortcodes and private formats are left out, so WordPress, your theme and your SEO plugin can keep reading your pages whatever you add later. Build in the regular block editor, or use Sandwich Studio, a full-screen visual editor with a layers panel, undo history, a command palette and keyboard shortcuts.
A page loads just the styles for the blocks it uses, taken from your own uploads folder, with neutral class names and no generator tags. A measured test page gained +0.5 kB and made 0 requests to other companies' servers. The free accessibility checker points out missing alternative text and weak colour contrast while you build.
The free plugin offers 44 blocks and 20 website kits. Pro adds 68 blocks, 8 kits, a form builder, popups, A/B tests, a theme builder, a design system, a WooCommerce store builder and imports from Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery and Figma. Through the MCP server and its 150 tools, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI agents are able to build pages.
It has been a WordPress page builder since 2015, and version 6 is a new builder from the ground up. Zinn Digital® Ltd develops, sells and supports it, and Neil Lock builds it.
Pricing model: Freemium
The plugin itself costs nothing and has no time limit. Page Builder Sandwich Pro comes as a monthly or yearly plan covering 1 site, 5 sites or unlimited sites, and every option starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required.
QDoes Page Builder Sandwich cost anything?
From the profile No cost for the core plugin, and there is no time limit. It comes with 44 blocks, 20 website kits, Sandwich Studio and the accessibility checker. Page Builder Sandwich Pro layers on 68 further blocks, forms, popups, A/B tests and a WooCommerce store builder, and it offers a 14-day free trial that needs no card.
QIn what format are my pages stored?
From the profile They are stored as standard WordPress blocks rather than shortcodes or a private format. That means WordPress, your theme and your SEO plugin can all read them, and the content of a page still appears when the plugin is turned off.
QIs there a performance cost to using Page Builder Sandwich?
From the profile A page pulls in only the styles for the blocks it contains, served from your own site. In a measured test page the addition was +0.5 kB and 0 requests to other companies' servers, while the phone Lighthouse score held at 100.
QIs it possible to bring over pages made with Elementor or Divi?
From the profile Yes, using Pro. Pages from Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder and WPBakery are turned into blocks, a report lists anything worth checking, and the original pages are left untouched.
QWhich company is behind Page Builder Sandwich?
From the profile Zinn Digital® Ltd develops, sells and supports it, and Neil Lock is the person who builds it.
