How badges get your listing found and followed

Display our badge on your site so your free listing goes live, and find out when your link gets dofollow credit.

Getting your free listing live

When you create a free listing with us, it doesn't publish straight away. We need to see a link to your listing page on your own website first. That's where our badge comes in.

Head to your listing's badge page and pick the design that suits you—choose the shape, colour (light or dark), and size you prefer. Copy the HTML snippet and add it to your site. Any badge design works; we're not fussy about which one you pick.

Our crawler checks your website automatically and keeps checking every 7 days. Once it finds that link, your listing publishes. If the badge ever disappears, we'll let you know and your listing goes on hold; pop it back and it publishes again.

How your link gets followed

The badge link starts as nofollow by default. Here's where it gets interesting: our script checks your site's Domain Rating (Ahrefs) live. If you hit at least 20 and pass our spam checks, the link flips to dofollow. If not, it stays nofollow.

Paid launches get a dofollow link displayed on your listing page to your website, giving you more SEO benefit. Free listings get the nofollow treatment instead.

Award badges

If you win Launch of the Week, get Featured, earn a Launched badge, or become Verified, those badges show up on your listing automatically. No action needed from you.

Questions people ask

Why do I need to put a badge on my website?
For free listings, we use the badge link to confirm you're the real founder. Once our crawler spots it, your listing goes live automatically.
What happens if I remove the badge later?
We check every 7 days. If it's gone, your listing goes on hold and we'll email you. Add it back and it publishes again.
When does my badge link become dofollow?
It turns dofollow automatically if your Domain Rating reaches 20 and our spam checks pass. Otherwise it stays nofollow.
